Charlie Gillies is a Southern California real estate professional specializing in Orange County’s coastal markets, including Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, and Newport Beach. Since launching his real estate career in 2020, Charlie has built his practice on direct communication, sharp market intelligence, and a level of preparation that defines every transaction.
Before real estate, Charlie spent nearly a decade as a professional baseball player after being drafted by the Detroit Tigers. His career took him across the country and overseas, competing at the highest levels of the sport. That experience shapes how he operates today. Professional athletics demands strategic thinking under pressure, composure when stakes are highest, and the kind of disciplined preparation that separates good outcomes from great ones. Charlie brings that same standard to every transaction, whether he is representing a first-time buyer, an experienced investor, or a seller navigating a complex sale.
A Southern California native, Charlie calls South Huntington Beach home and treats it as his primary farm area. His clients benefit from current, on-the-ground insight, an aggressive approach to deal-making, and an advocate who treats their goals with the same intensity he once brought to the field.
Outside of work, Charlie is a devoted husband to his wife Michaela and father to their first son, Mac, who he looks forward to coaching in baseball one day. Rounding out the family is Huckleberry, their hyper Jack Russell terrier who keeps everyone on their toes. Charlie also remains committed to the disciplined training routine that defined his athletic career.
