We sat down with Ron to learn more about this segment of the market and his advice for buyers and sellers in this price range.
Q: To what do you attribute your success in selling properties in this area and in this price range?
A: I’m happy to be able to leverage nearly 25 years of experience as a real estate agent and broker along the coast, with a special focus on selling many high end properties in Newport Beach and Corona del Mar.
Q: What advice would you give to homeowners who want to sell properties in this area and price range?
A: It’s most important to select a knowledgable broker/agent that you can connect with personally. Make sure the agent you hire has strong marketing and negotiating skills and will be the one actually showing your home, versus delegating to an assistant.
Q: How is the market different in this price range – as far as what you need to do to reach buyers/sell effectively?
A: Quality photography and video are key to marketing a property in this high-end price category. Also, the ability to reach beyond the local market place by pushing the listing toward specific target markets that only an experienced agent will know.
Q: What is your near-term outlook on this segment of the market – what trends are you seeing?
A: In the ultra-high-end market within Newport Beach and Corona del Mar, newer, well located properties will continue to sell as will tear-down properties in prime locations. There are still a lot of cash buyers looking for newer homes and this will continue to support the sell-through of spec building projects along the coast.
